Why we built it
Online prices move constantly, and “sales” are often just the regular price wearing a costume. Vigil records every price check, so you can see the real trend over time and buy at the actual bottom instead of the marketing one. It's the price history a retailer would rather you didn't have.
How Vigil makes money
We're upfront about this: Vigil earns money two ways. First, paid plans (Pro and Elite) for people who track more products and want priority checks. Second, affiliate commissions — when you buy something through a link on Vigil (for example an Amazon or Booking.com link), we may earn a small commission. It never costs you anything extra, and it never changes which deals we show you or how we rank them. A price drop is a price drop whether we earn a commission or not.
